TeamCAD Conference 2018

On the 25th of October 2018, in Hotel Hyatt Regency in Belgrade, we organized TeamCAD Conference with more than 250 attendees from different fields: building construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, process engineering, data management, media, entertainment, etc.

There were 30 presentations and masterclasses at the same time in four conference rooms, held by speakers from: Autodesk, Transoft Solutions, Hewlett Packard, GeoINOVA, Teximp, Agena Technology, ArchiJoy, Alfa-Plam, Clock Drive Games, DA DizajnArhitektura, Fried, Geovizija, Log Design, Mad Head Games, Mašinoprojekt KOPRING, NIS Naučno-tehnološki centar, Primer Studio, Prleks, Tigar Tyres, Vertex Star and TeamCAD.

Different software solutions and user experiences about BIM (Autodesk Revit, Advance Steel, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk BIM360, ReCap); Process Engineering (AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, CAD Studio PlantTools); Data Management (Autodesk Vault); parametric modeling and analysis in manufacturing - Autodesk Inventor Professional, Nastran In-CAD; modelling, animations and rendering – Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, V-Ray; BIM in infrastructure, etc. were introduced on very quality and inspiring way.

There were few booths in the foyer in front of the conference rooms with Hewlett Packard Z workstations where Autodesk, Chaos Group and Transoft Solutions software solutions were demonstrated. FARO 3D scanners were shown on the Teximp booth. Software solution TeleCAD-GIS was presented on the GeoInova booth. NIS NTC's, DA DizajnArhitektura's and TeamCAD's VR corners were especially interesting for the attendees.

NIS NTC – Autodesk Vault implementation

NIS is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in Southeast Europe. Its principal activities are exploration, production and refining, sales and distribution of a broad range of petroleum products, as well as the implementation of energy projects. As part of NIS, The Scientific and Technological Centre (STC) is located in Novi Sad and was established in 2009 by merging several closely related organizational elements, with the aim to provide scientific and technical support to the core business of the company, ensuring development and innovation in its business operations.

The main activity is providing scientific and technical support in all stages of exploration and production, from designing and supervising geological-exploration projects to creating models, monitoring development, and designing infrastructure facilities and well arrangement. One of the challenges was the fact that is quite complicated to manage all production files as STC works on very complex multidisciplinary projects, and therefore uses a large number of different Autodesk software.

In order to manage files on the right way, to track file lifecycles and to control access rights, versions and revisions, STC decided to implement Autodesk Vault as Common Data Environment. In a period from June to December 2018, TeamCAD completed Autodesk Vault implementation in STC. In mater of direct integration, TeamCAD delivered complete control of project documentation, created in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MAP 3D, Autodesk Navisworks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook software.

Additionally, TeamCAD provided data control over files created in other software’s, using Autodesk Vault.
